Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is a discipline that has always been at the vanguard to exploit of emerging and developing technologies. The CFD community in its quest for more accurate simulations and reductions in the time to solution has rapidly absorbed advances in both algorithms and computers. Within this context, parallel computing has played an increasingly important role. Parallel computing has become an essential tool for scientific computations on computer systems from most high-end tens of PetaFLOPS machines to low-end commodity PC clusters. Moreover, the uptake of parallel computing has brought the CFD community into ever-closer contact with hardware vendors and computer scientists. The multidisciplinary subject of parallel CFD and its rapidly evolving nature, in terms of hardware and software, requires a regular international meeting of this nature to keep the most recent developments.

Parallel CFD (ParCFD) is an annual international conference devoted to the discussion of recent developments in parallel computing and its applications to the field of CFD and related disciplines. Since the establishment of the ParCFD conference series, parallel computing technology has evolved from GFLOPS machines to PFLOPS supercomputers. Emergence of multi-core and heterogeneous architectures in parallel computers has created new challenges and opportunities for applied research and performance optimization in advanced CFD technology. ParCFD 2016 will include contributed and invited papers, and also panel discussions. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Parallel Algorithms & Solvers
- Extreme-Scale Computing
- Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Applications
- Atmospheric & Ocean Modeling
- Medical & Biological Applications
- Fluid-Structure Interaction
- Turbulence and Combustion
- Acoustics
- Multi-disciplinary Design Optimization
- Multi-Scale & Multi-Physics Applications
- Software Frameworks and GPU Computing

Venue of the conference:

The ParCFD 2016 will take place at the Kobe International Conference Center conveniently located on Port Island, approx. 10 min from downtown Kobe, Sannomiya, and only 8 min from Kobe Airport, by Port Liner.
